Gluten-Free Marshmallow Crispy Treats Dressed Up a Little

Although this may not seem such an exciting recipe for many cooks, for me this is an exceptional treat.

Even if the new Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® Gluten Free cereal weren’t whole grain rice…I’d still make this gluten-free snack at least once just to celebrate the first time in about 12 years that I could make an old favorite. You see, I haven’t had Rice Krispies® in a long time, but now they are available in a gluten-free version. So, after enjoying a couple of breakfasts out of that cereal box, I set out to make some of those quick and easy, crowd-pleasing treats from long ago. They really are easy!

Gluten-Free Cornbread Stuffing with Herbs and Mushrooms, A Side for Turkey or a Filling for Squash

Just the right mix of herbs combined with celery, mushrooms and onion, then tossed with the cornbread and cooked a bit more. Butternut Squash Baked with Apple-Walnut-Cinnamon Stuffing

A satisfying aroma is coming from the oven. Soon we’ll be enjoying the tender texture and delicate flavor of a butternut squash.

Today I’m baking this colorful squash with a little gluten-free stuffing made from apples, walnuts, cinnamon and nutmeg. Maybe a little butter, too….

Apple Galette, Gluten-Free and Easier than Pie!

Apples and spice go together so well! Just about all they need is a little something to wrap around them while they bake…like some pastry crust. I’ve made a lot of gluten-free apple pies, but none of them were any better than this galette.
