Gluten-Free Diet Menu Plan for the Week of December 30, 2012

For this week of celebrating the new year, I started off with some Broiled Salmon Fillets, fully intending for this gluten-free diet menu plan to include healthier meals as much as possible.

On New Year’s Eve we’re planning some gluten-free recipes that are favorites, but they could possibly tempt one to overindulge. This is a meal that could suit just you and your family…or you plus a whole crowd of friends…Bean Salad with Dijon Dressing and Romaine, Bacon-Cheese Potato Skins, Easy Meatballs Subs, deviled eggs, Cannellini Hummus and Oatmeal Raisin Walnut Bars.

What Is The Paleo Diet And Is It Gluten-Free?

Have you ever wondered how you can maintain your overall health in spite of the disease that is causing you to be gluten intolerant? This is a serious problem and I sometimes worry about it myself. I think that I’ve found something that can help.

Over the last year or so, I’ve noticed that there is increasing interest in the Paleo Diet around the world. It seems to me that it is a valid dietary choice which many people are embracing because of the benefits they attribute to the diet.

Its popularity began in the 1970s and has grown as more and more people have discovered the benefits of this highly nutritional diet.

I’ve wondered about it often and have now overcome my personal inertia and did something about my curiosity. I liked what I found. And, because of that, I’ve become very interested in it myself since it is, by definition, gluten-free! It contains no grains… Period!

Plus we will be adding a sub-menu as well as a category for Paleo information on the Elegantly, Gluten-Free website.

Gingerbread and My Holiday Wishes for You

Sweet and spicy, tender and springy gingerbread …it’s a traditional recipe for any time of the year. But, if you dress it up a little with some decorator’s red sugar, it takes on a more festive air. This gluten-free recipe is easy to make and frugal, too, but it also is wonderful for serving your family and your guests.

Gluten-Free Diet Menu Plan for the Week of December 16, 2012

These recipes are ideal for a gluten-free diet menu plan. They’re dishes that I make and eat and that my family likes to eat, too, even though they’re don’t have to be gluten-free like I do. Three of these dinners are 30 minute meals to keep things short and sweet, and there’s a slow cooker meal for one night.

Since the holiday season is here, I’ve gone overboard with baked goodies every day this week — except one of them is not baked, although it is definitely a goodie. That’s the Almond Bark with Dried Cherries.

Enjoy!
