Pork Chops with Red Sauce and Pasta

We really like pork chop recipes here and even more so when they involve lean gluten-free pork, red sauce and pasta. I like cooking these Boneless Pork Loin Chops because they are so lean and they cook quickly. They first are browned in the skillet, and their flavor then combines with the sauce and the seasonings to make a delicious, satisfying, nutritious meal for everyone.

Gluten-Free Diet Menu Plan For the Week of January 13, 2013

This week’s gluten-free diet menu plan has favorites for everybody.

It begins with a warming pot of Multibean Soup, served alongside fish sticks and salad. Then, the next day I’ve included a bit of Tex-Mex flair with some Avocado, Tomato and Cheese-Topped Chicken. My husband Al really likes this one.

For Day 3 I put together a slow cooker meal of Beef Pot Roast. It’s gluten-free and can also be low-carb or paleo if you want it to be that way. Be sure to save some of the sliced beef for Roast Beef Sandwiches for tomorrow’s dinner (“Wednesday Night Blue Plate Special” at the Home Diner :-) ).

Just click over to the Menu Plan to see the rest. You’re sure to enjoy it….

Rice Grits for a Whole Grain Cereal with Brown Sugar, Cinnamon and Currants

Have you ever had grits?

I absolutely love them on a cold winter’s morning. Grits make a delicious, hot, creamy whole grain cereal that you can top with brown sugar, cinnamon and currants or raisins.

Grits are most commonly made from corn. But grits can also come from rice or other grains. The broken pieces of grain – the “shorts,” “brokens” or “middlins,” better known in the U.S. of A. as “Grits” – readily cook into a variety of dishes.

Read this post to discover another gluten-free treat you can relish!

Gluten-Free Diet Menu Plan for the Week of January 6, 2013

Welcome to another Elegantly Gluten-Free Menu Plan designed specifically to help you fill out your own gluten-free diet with wholesome, nourishing meals. Here where I live we are in the midst of winter with snow on the ground and more on the way. It’s great for building a fire in the fireplace every chance we get and stopping at the slightest excuse to have another cup of tea.

And, with weather like this, knowing that you have great meals to prepare is a real plus. I know it makes my life easier. Especially, when Al says “Honey, what’s for dinner?”

I hope your new year is off to a good start and I’m so glad you stopped by.

Here’s this week’s menu plan…
