Gluten-Free Menu Plan for the Week of November 2, 2014
For the Gluten-Free Menu Plan this week the attention is on comfort food –all gluten-free and also family-pleasing. Since I cook for a mixed group, I’m gluten-free, the others are not, it’s important that the recipes are not just gluten-free but also family-pleasing.
Many of these dishes have other options, too, such as dairy-free or low carb.
They all qualify in my family as comfort food.
I think that everyone has certain foods that are liked more for pleasant memories and soothing traditions than hunger or nutrition. Those would be comfort foods, the ones that bring a satisfying connection with more than just a meal.
Comfort food is popular even if it is a little difficult to define….
Even if the old memories included gluten-y ingredients that are off the menu now, there are still ways to enjoy many of the old favorites. With a little research and ingenuity many old favorites can still be enjoyed!
So let’s not dwell on how to define comfort food and get on with the menu. I hope you find your favorite, most enjoyable comfort food here–completely gluten-free.

This gluten-free menu plan is designed for those with gluten intolerance, gluten sensitivity, or celiac (coeliac) disease, but I’ve found that people who have no food allergies like these gluten-free recipes, too. They are wheat-free, barley-free and rye-free. Many are also suitable for a low carb or paleo diet or may be casein-free, dairy-free, egg-free, lactose-free, nut-free or refined sugar-free
