Depending on the season, the tomatoes may be fresh or canned.  Just about every ingredient is packed with nutrition, so this easy salsa recipe is a valuable addition to a gluten-free diet.

Serving Size: 1/4 cup

Quick Salsa for Easy Gluten-Free Heat


  • 1 Quart Tomatoes, Quartered or Chopped, Fresh or Canned
  • 2 Each Jalapenos, Seeded
  • 1/2 Cup Cilantro, Fresh
  • 1 Small Onion, Quartered
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Minced Garlic or Powder
  • Juice of a Lemon, about 3 Tablespoons
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt, to Taste


Combine in food processor or blender.

Process until smooth.


This is a frugal recipe for those with gluten intolerance or gluten sensitivity, but it is also popular with people who have no food allergies.
